Disclaimer
Estimate Bench gives free invoice and estimate templates and general information about running a small trade business. It is for general use only.
This is not professional advice
Our templates are general business forms. Our guides are general information. Neither is legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and neither replaces an accountant or a lawyer who knows your business and your state.
Tax
The builder adds tax at the rate you enter, on the lines you mark. It does not know your state’s or city’s rules: which goods and services are taxed, at what rate, and what you must show on an invoice. Check with your state’s revenue department or an accountant.
Prices
Prices in our guides are ranges drawn from the sources we cite, with their dates. What you charge depends on your area, your costs, the job and your market. Our guides are not a quote and not a recommendation of what to charge.
Your documents are yours
You decide what goes on your invoices and estimates, and you are responsible for them. Use the templates only for your own business and your own real work.
How our guides are made
Our editor, George McTaggart, reads and approves every guide. Our guides are not fact-checked line by line by hand, and they are not reviewed by an accountant or a lawyer. Check the cited sources before you act on anything here.
Things change
Prices, platform fees and rules change, and a guide may fall behind. Each guide shows its date.
